SIXTH RACE

DEVIOUS MO got in too tough in his first start off the claim and tired after contesting the pace going a mile, and he ran better than it looks when dropped back down last time to be part of a threeway contested pace in a race that went to closers; drops again for a hot trainer. BUSTIN BIEBER was showing speed on turf to no avail last summer before going to the sidelines; makes his first start off the layoff facing maiden claiming competition for the first time as he returns to dirt. ROYAL KAZ was only second-best in his first two starts at Penn National while earning figures that would make him competitive in this spot; has come up short in each of his first two starts on this circuit after taking some money both times, and contesting the pace on a strong rail last time did not prove to be enough of an advantage for him.

SEVENTH RACE

WARDENOFTHENORTH took a nice step forward to break his maiden off the claim last summer, then returned later in the year to face a much tougher field to no avail; starts back from the layoff taking a needed class drop, and any improvement during his downtime is going to make him tough in here, assuming he is ready right away. TIZ KAZ NOW broke his maiden with a 72 Beyer last January, then missed a lot of time and returned with an even effort vs. two-life claimers last December; drops back down for this following a short layoff after getting left far behind by some much better horses last time. VICTORY BUILT has had his chances already but he is consistent and has earned a couple of recent figures that would make him tough in here; faced better than this in his first three tries at this level, and he got wired on the slight drop last time.
