SEVENTH RACE

-

LI LI BEAR, the day’s best, drops to winning spot while returning to surface over which she turned in her top effort to date at 2. Lures Jaramillo. Might prove too fast for these. BLUSTERY also getting some major class relief after being poorly spotted in last pair off the claim. RASPBERRY BALLET a classic non-winning sort but might just plod along for minor share against all these 3-year-olds in lineup.

EIGHTH RACE

ILLOGICAL LOVE taking on elders but looks loose as she pleases on front end here. May not look back for this tag. MISZLO never had a chance last time when plunging to this level, trying the Tapeta for first time. Gets a mulligan with a cleaner trip. CODE NAME LISE proved to be a good fit at this level two back, could not repeat the try stepping up on the main. Back to synthetic today.

NINTH RACE

PASSION PLUS a hard knocking, know how to win type who comes off solid effort beating perhaps a notch but not much softer than she encounters here. Right back with a similar showing. COPACETIC in new hands since winning maiden with solid Beyer Fig last time at Tampa. Looks like she should be on or with pace throughout in this lineup. SOUPER ALL STAR did not have the cleanest of trips when still not badly beaten by wire to wire winner Gather as You Go returning to grass for first time this season on 4/23. Deserves another chance.

TENTH RACE

R ADIOS JERSEY might have really need that last start when a game second none the less in overnight handicap at 7/8, shortens up a tad and well posted outside for second outing of the season. Taken to stalk likely pace of speedy and younger rival Spirit Wind. RACE DAY SPEED in good form at the present time. Got hung wide, surged late behind preferred one last time, well drawn on rail for rematch. Could prove big beneficiary if this one ties up late. SPIRIT WIND a fast and very promising 3yo who has trained well for first try against older foes but will have to endure what figures to be plenty of early pace pressure from preferred one. Still might be this good.

ELEVENTH RACE

EAMONN never better, looked good surging between horses to run down Freedom Matters last time, might just score right back if getting the proper help up front. ME AND MR. C had no racing luck returning from extended vacation last month but with enough back class to merit look at square price with that one under his belt and clearer sailing from the fence. NOBLE INDY saved ground throughout, could not kick late with preferred one in previous meeting but with enough speed to be on or with pace throughout today. Must respect the back class. Clear Vision the big question mark in main event at short price coming off disappointing effort and subsequent layoff after the Canadian Turf. Too good for this bunch if able to repeat any of those earlier tries last winter.

TWELFTH RACE

KENTUCKY PRIDE knocking on door with a tad better. Not badly beaten last time by red hot Conundrum Queen who has now won 3 straight including $16K starter with 72 Beyer in latest. Not facing anything nd like that in finale. CACTUS KITTEN another coming off big effort for higher tag although has been idled ever since. Not badly beaten by preferred one when pair met earlier this season.FIRST GOLD chased, weakened late behind wire to wire winner in TAmpa finale for twice the tag. Figures forwardly placed once again.
