Home­wood-Floss­moor High School of­fi­cials con­firmed that therewere two related so­cial me­dia posts dis­cov­ered Satur­day threat­en­ing vi­o­lence at the school onMon­day.

In a com­mu­ni­ca­tion sent to par­ents, Prin­ci­pal Jerry Lee An­der­son said school of­fi­cials had been work­ing with the Floss­moor Po­lice Depart­ment since about 9 a.m. Satur­day re­gard­ing two posts that “threat­ened school vi­o­lence” Mon­day.

“The po­lice have iden­ti­fied the source and are fur­ther in­ves­ti­gat­ing,” An­der­son stated.

Ad­di­tional in­for­ma­tion will be provided when it be­comes avail­able, she said.

Floss­moor po­lice could not be im­me­di­ately reached Satur­day for com­ment.
