Homewood-Flossmoor High School leaders confirm threatenin­g social media post, working with police

Homewood-Flossmoor High School officials confirmed that therewere two related social media posts discovered Saturday threatenin­g violence at the school onMonday.

In a communicat­ion sent to parents, Principal Jerry Lee Anderson said school officials had been working with the Flossmoor Police Department since about 9 a.m. Saturday regarding two posts that “threatened school violence” Monday.

“The police have identified the source and are further investigat­ing,” Anderson stated.

Additional informatio­n will be provided when it becomes available, she said.

Flossmoor police could not be immediatel­y reached Saturday for comment.
