Local voters have finally started to make a dent in getting term limits and Springfieldwants to override that. We truly are doomed.

Cha-ching. Illinois lawmakers are talking about a substantial gasoline tax. After all, we haven’t had an increase in years. We might not have had one on gasoline but on about everything else. We are among the most heavily taxed states in the nation. Like so many other revenues earmarked for specifics, it will end up somewhere else. Remember the lottery? Governments at all levels have no grasp of money management or wise spending and make no effort to even try. But they have no qualms about asking for more.

Headline: Illinois declines in population for fifth straight year. People are not just relocating towarmer climates, they are moving to Indiana andWisconsin too. Cook County is the culprit for these loses. Our Land of Lincoln over decades has morphed into the land of liberals.
