I think Gov Pritzker has done a great job

leading the fight against COVID-19. I think his plan to re-open Illinois based on medical metrics is the right approach. However there must be room to make adjustments just like football teams make half time adjustments to their original game plans. I think certain suburban Cook county municipalities, the collar counties, and other rural counties should not be lumped in with the city of Chicago when evaluating medical metrics and can probably open sooner rather than later. Mike, Tinley Park

This is unbelieveable. Pritzker says we might

not be able to attend our churches for a year. This is our First Amendment right to protect our religion. This man is becoming a dictator and he’s digging Illinois deeper and deeper and deeper in debt. The people in Illinois need to stop this man. Tell him we want our restaurants open, we want our people to be able to go back to work. We will practice safe practices, face masks, etc. But there’s no reason we can’t open Illinois like the other states are doing. Judy, Oak Lawn

I’ve come to conclusion as many other people

have that these liberal governors and mayors are using the coronavirus and not letting states and cities open up is to hurt President Trump in the upcoming election to see how the economy crashed. To show you liberals that President Trump is trying to open up the economy and you liberals keeping it shut down shows that you are wanting to destroy the economy. Keep showing your incompetence. Bob, Frankfort

They just don’t get it. Daily protesters

are shown maskless and in large, close groups. If they’d only understand that their behavior is in large part what’s keeping the brakes on our economy and costing billions of dollars a day in lost jobs and health care and will debilitate the country and families for years to come. We have to stop printing money eventually. Mary, Tinley Park

We are reaching the critical stage

in Illinois. Local municipalities are being forced to seriously cut budgets and, sadly, are also considering personnel layoffs. What is the state of Illinois doing? No talk of budget cuts, or personnel reductions. Oops! They just handed out $200 million plus in raises to state employees in a state that is basically bankrupt. Ed, Tinley Park

COVID-19 is bringing out people who seem

to be just waiting on something they could come out and protest how they are feeling. The governor’s family, along with him, should not be afraid for their lives. But the protestors are expressing their hate with Nazi signs and also Hitler signs, and flags that are outright disgraceful. It’s one thing to disagree and another to demonstrate hate. BJ, Hazel Crest

It amazes me that both Pritzker

and the other reporting personnel seem to be using the COVID-19 pandemic as a campaign speech. It is sad. He is running this state into bankruptcy and is already setting up to blame the president. It’s also amazing that he never indicated how much profit he will enjoy from the testing once he no longer holds office. Only that he has no knowledge while in office. I hope people see through this smokescreen. LH, Orland Park

Wake up call. Being confined to your home,

wearing masks to go out to a store, make you think how good you once had it. Even with hardships, of deaths in your family, you could give your loved one away at the funeral parlor. Life was good even if you were struggling financially. There was hope to recover. Your children were happy going to school and playing sports. Never complain again. Ask the Lord for help and comfort. Mr. G, Chicago

About 51 years ago we put a man

on the moon, yet now we cannot figure out how to prevent factory employees from breathing on each other or on the finished products. It’s not rocket science. JI. Oak Lawn

I would like to see a TV commercial

that does not involve seeing people dancing. M., Oak Forest

This about it. This is the perfect

time to get rid of all these marketers on the phone. You don’t need the telemarketers at all. You know what you need. I know what I need. I don’t need them. They don’t help you at all. Ronald, Oak Lawn

There hasn’t been any sporting events

and the world didn’t end. Wow. Maybe people realize now how much they’re spending to watch millionaires play a game that they love and some of them really act atrociously in public. Hey, maybe we can get these guys’ salaries down to a realistic level. Pete, Oak Lawn
