Moraine Valley Foundation golf outing Sept. 15
The Moraine Valley Community College Foundation will host its 39th annual golf outing on Sept. 15, at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont. All proceeds will fund student scholarships. Last year, the event sold out, and the foundation raised $38,000.
The foundation has taken several steps to keep golfers safe, such as eliminating large group meals and instead are offering safer grab-and-go options, changing the in-person awards ceremony to a virtual ceremony on Oct. 8, and incorporating social distancing into all games and activities, McGreal said.
Tickets are $195 per golfer, which includes 18 holes of golf, and food and beverages throughout the day. The golfing will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
A virtual golf ticket, which includes 18 holes of golf and food vouchers golfers can use at their leisure at Cog Hill between Sept. 1 to Oct. 5, is a new option this year. The scores of virtual golf ticket holders and foursomes will be combined with all golfers for the virtual awards ceremony.
