Indiana man shot to death on I-57 overpass in Posen
An apparent road rage shooting left a Harvey man dead while, in a separate shooting, an Indiana man was shot to death in Posen this past week, according to authorities.
Harvey police responded to a multivehicle accident April 15 at 185 E. 153rd
St. and found a man on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a city spokesman.
He was later identified as 37-year-old Nathaniel Sampson of the 100 block of East 153rd Street in Harvey, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Sampson was pronounced dead at 11:43 p.m. April 15 at University of Chicago Medical Center, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the office.
Police said their investigation resulted in a charge of first-degree murder against 29-year-old DeAndre McKinney, who was driving a vehicle involved in the accident and was also shot by another person at the scene.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Police said McKinney was taken into custody and charged Wednesday after being discharged from the hospital, but said the investigation is ongoing.
In Posen, Anthony Houge, 60, of Harlan, Indiana, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in a shooting that took place on the Interstate 57 overpass of 147th Street, according to the medical examiner’s office.
State police said the case was not in their jurisdiction and messages left for Posen police were not returned.
Hogue was pronounced dead at 12:12 a.m. April 16 at Advocate Christ Medical Center, according to the medical examiner’s office.
