Another cloudy, humid day with some showers
Wednesday’s lowest:
As the broad center of low pressure slowly approaches, passes over and eventually moves east, Thursday will have cloudy and humid conditions with scattered showers and a few embedded thunderstorms. Because of the light winds aloft, slow-moving strong showers could deposit some pretty hefty rainfall totals of an inch or more in some spots.
Friday we could have a few more showers, as we begin the transition into high pressure over the weekend. This sets the stage for a rain-free Air and Water Show. Under mostly sunny skies, afternoon temperatures Saturday and Sunday project to reach the middle 80s well inland, peaking more in the lower 80s along the lakefront. Showers and thunderstorms will re-enter the picture Monday and Tuesday, with a cool-down into the 70s midweek.
