DUI CHARGE: James Westferro, 27, of the 2000 block of Stapleton Road, New Lenox, was charged with drunken driving and improper lane usage at Laraway and Wolf roads Aug. 3, police said.

CAR BURGLARY: Police said residents reported numerous car burglaries from unlocked cars Aug. 4. Four burglaries occurred in the 22300 block of Jeanette Court and two in the 22400 block of Hughes Street. Other burglaries occurred in the 22200 block of Clary Sage Drive, the 22500 block of Ledgestone Way and 22000 block of Chamomile Drive.

BUSINESS BURGLARIZED: Police said someone broke into a business in the 20200 block of La Grange Road and stole items Aug. 4

CAR STOLEN: An unsecured car was stolen from a driveway in the 11600 block of Rudy Court Aug. 5. It was recovered later the same day by the Harvey Police Department.

CAR BURGLARY: Someone stole items from an unlocked car in a driveway in the 22900 block of Sun River Drive and then entered cars in the victim’s garage Aug. 5. A car in the 11700 block of Flagstone Turn was also burglarized.
