Police seeking tips in fatal hit-and-run in south suburbs
Cook County sheriff’s police are seeking the public’s help in their investigation of a fatal hit-and-run accident in the south suburbs.
About 7 p.m. Sunday, sheriff ’s police were called to the 2100 block of Lincoln Highway, near Sauk Village, in response to a call of an unresponsive woman found in the road. The location is just east of the interchange of U.S. 30 and Illinois 394.
A 42-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, but no further information about her was available Monday.
Police said they are looking for a white GMC Sierra pickup truck with extensive front-end damage that may have been involved, and anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 708-865-4896.
