Basketball
Chicago Ridge: The Chicago Ridge Park District will host open gyms for adults to play basketball from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Dec. 18 at Frontier Fieldhouse, 9807 Sayre Ave. Interested playerscan come to any Tuesday night session with no obligation to attend every week. Palos Hills: The South Side Shooters boys basketball program is looking for one or two players to fill its seventh and eighth grade teams. Games and tournaments are all local and practices are held at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W. College Parkway. Oak Lawn: Oak Lawn Ice Arena, 9320 S. Kenton Ave., will host its Kids Countdown skate camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 26 to 28 and Dec. 31. Activities include skating lessons, group routine practices, games and crafts. Participants will then perform a group routine at the Ice Arena’s Kids Countdown event on New Year’s Eve. Fee: $99. Orland Park: Orland Park Recreation and Parks will host indoor tennis lessons for ages 5 to 11 at Sportsplex, 11351 W. 159th St., from Jan. 16 to Feb. 20 and Feb. 27 through April 3. Palos Heights: Palos Heights Parks and Recreation, 6601 W. 127th St, is now taking registration for indoor tennis lessons for ages 4 to 10.
