Two women told police they were robbed at gunpoint in a parking lot in the 5800 block of Corey Lane around 8 p.m. Jan. 3. The victims said the robber was hiding near a dumpster when he emerged displaying a black handgun. Reports state he pushed both women to the ground, causing one woman to drop a glass jar and bowl. The man then ripped necklaces off both women and stole $200 from a brown plastic bag they were carrying before fleeing north on foot. Neither of the women remember hearing the man speak during the robbery. Both sustained laceration­s to their hands and legs and were treated at South Suburban Hospital.

The robber was wearing a black mask, dark clothing and was about 6’ tall, reports state. BURGLARY: Someone broke into a vacant home in the 15000 block of Sulky Drive and stole copper piping Dec. 4.

DUI ARREST: Peter Smilguis, 52, of the 16600 block of Sioux Drive, Lockport, was arrested and accused of drunken driving and driving off the roadway Dec. 5 at 151st Street and Roasarie Drive, police said.

GARAGE BURGLARIZE­D: Someone stole a concrete saw, hammer drill and numerous other tools from a detached garage in the 1400 block of 147th Street Dec. 12.

SHED BURGLARIZE­D: A chainsaw, lawn tools and a multi-use motor were stolen from a shed in the 17000 block of McCarron Road Dec. 15.

WINDOW SHATTERED: Someone shattered the window of a pickup truck and spray-painted the driver’s door with brown paint Dec. 18 in the 15500 block of Cranberry Court.

BURGLARY: Someone broke into a locked storage unit and stole numerous tools in the 14000 block of Sheffield Drive Dec. 18.

BURGLARY: A John Deere E130 riding mower was stolen from an unlocked barn in the 17000 block of McCarron Road Dec. 19.

WINDOWS SHATTERED: Someone broke out the driver’s side and rear window and cracked the windshield of a car parked in the 14000 block of Mustang Drive Dec. 21. Windows were also shattered on cars in the 14000 block of Pine Grove and the 12000 block of East Hank Court the same day.

VANDALISM: Someone broke into a vacant home and smeared feces inside the bathrooms of a home in the 14000 block of King Road Dec. 21.

DUI ARREST: Michael Greenfield, 54, of the 13800 block of Creekside Court, Homer Glen, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, no insurance and improper lane usage Dec. 21 at 159th and Bell Road, police said.

WINDOWS SHATTERED: Windows were shattered on two cars parked in the 13000 block of Doral Lane and the 15000 block of Paddock Lane Dec. 22.
