The broad, kid-friendly comedy.

No real swearing, but some seriously graphic bathroom humor. References to dating/romance/etc. None.

This family comedy is a bit crude in moments. OK for older kids. ‘LAST CHRISTMAS’ PG-13

A distressed woman learns to appreciate the world through a new love interest.

The rom-com genre and stars Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding.

None — an emergency hospital scene.

Some swearing throughout. References to casual sex and intimacy. Alcohol.

This is a cute rom-com, but it does have some mature elements with references to sex and swearing. OK for teens and older kids. ‘HARRIET’ PG-13

A stirring biopic about the life of former slave and Undergroun­d Railroad conductor Harriet Tubman.

Kids might be interested in the historical subject matter.

Some disturbing violence and abuse against slaves by slavers, including numerous beatings, shootings and murder. Strong language including racial slurs. None.

None.

This is a film that doesn’t shy away from the violent realities of slavery, but it’s incredibly educationa­l and inspiring for younger audiences.
