Winning card supports Glenwood Academy

A winning card was drawn in last week’s Queen of Hearts Raffle, which supports Glenwood Academy.

Mary Hollie, Glenwood Academy president and CEO, presented a check for $27,910 (pre-tax) to Homewood native Sheila Rinearson, who currently resides in Clearwater, Florida.

The total jackpot was $55,820, which was split between Rinearson and Glenwood Academy.

The weekly Queen of Hearts drawing took place every Wednesday evening at Fifth Quarter Press Room and Eatery, 18105 Dixie Highway, Homewood. Glenwood Academy plans to launch another weekly Queen of Hearts raffle, with the jackpot starting at $10,000 in the coming weeks.
