“Picture a Perfect Christmas”

(7 p.m., Hallmark): When she learns that her grandmothe­r, Louise (Paula Shaw), has hurt her foot, San Francisco photograph­er Sophie (Merritt Patterson) flies to Seattle to help care for her. While she’s there, however, a benign case of mistaken identity leads to Sophie being hired by a corporate executive (Jon Cor) to act as a short-term nanny for his young nephew.

“Sesame Street’s 50th Anniversar­y Celebratio­n”

(6 p.m., HBO): Joseph Gordon-Levitt hosts this primetime special honoring the iconic and multi-awardwinni­ng children’s show as it approaches its 50th anniversar­y on Nov. 16. The celebrator­y program looks back at highlights from the show’s past five decades, reimaginin­g such beloved songs as “It’s Not Easy Being Green” and featuring cameos from such characters as Roosevelt Franklin and Kermit the Frog.

“The Kid Who Would Be King”

(6:50 p.m., HBO): Although it proved to be a box-office disappoint­ment, writer-director Joe Cornish’s 2019 British-American fantasy earned mostly very warm reviews during its brief theatrical release. Louis Ashbourne Serkis (son of actor Andy Serkis) stars as 12-year-old Alex, who is struggling with bullies and other familiar adolescent woes when he stumbles across an old sword at a constructi­on site. The blade turns out to be Excalibur.

“Crikey! It’s the Irwins”

(7 p.m., 12 a.m., 3 a.m., ANIM): In the new episode “Oscar the Grouchy Frogmouth,” Terri returns to her Oregon hometown, where her love of cougars first lit her passion for wildlife conservati­on. During her visit, she assists with a vital health check on a cougar named Brady. Back at Australia Zoo, Robert contends with Oscar the tawny frogmouth, who’s a tiny bird with a huge attitude, while Bindi has her hands full bathing 3 Foot, a spiny anteater.

“Planet Earth: Blue Planet II”

(8 p.m., 3 a.m., BBCA): The new episode “Blue Planet Now: Whale Sanctuary” finds host Chris Packham in Mexico, where he teams up with scientists at the biggest whale nursery in the world for a happy event: the arrival of gray whale mothers and their babies. Elsewhere, Steve Backshall is diving in the Bahamas with such big ocean predators and tiger sharks, and Liz Bonnin sets up base at a research center near the fragile Great Barrier Reef.

“Ready to Love”

(9 p.m., 12 a.m., OWN): In the new episode “Love on the Rocks,” several of the men start to compete for the same women, leading to the formation of some truly volatile love triangles, especially when the situation fills the luckiest ladies with a newfound confidence, prompting them to become more demanding. At the end of this episode, the women decide which man in the group is no longer ready to love.
