“Supernanny” (7 p.m., 11:01 p.m., Lifetime): Profession­al nanny Jo Frost finds herself dealing with an unusually poignant appointmen­t in the new episode “Sutherland Family,” wherein she meets mom Amy Sutherland, who understand­ably was left profoundly shaken by an accident that nearly killed her daughter. Now Amy steadfastl­y refuses to accept anyone’s help when it comes to raising her four kids with hubby Justin.

“Dead Pixels” (7 p.m., CW): In the season finale, “Hive-Mother,” Meg, Nicky, Usman and Russell (Alexa Davies, WillMerric­k, Sargon Yelda, David Mumeni) are closing in on the endgame of Kingdom Scrolls, so they decide to make a full-blown weekend of it by cosplaying this final level. As these gamers reach the end of their virtual fantasy journey, however, each of their lives outside the game likewise comes to a crossroads. Charlotte Ritchie also stars.

“Cosmos: PossibleWo­rlds” (7 p.m., FOX): Previously aired on cable, this critically acclaimed science series hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson, inspired by a previous program originated by Carl Sagan, makes its two-hour broadcast premiere with “Ladder to the Stars; Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors.” Viewers can expect to take a trip to what producers call a 100,000-year-old laboratory, where they’ll begin an adventure spanning billions of years into the evolution of life.

“Chicago E.R.” (8 p.m., 12:01 a.m., Lifetime): This new one-hour special episode, which also is a pilot for a prospectiv­e series, takes viewers inside the white-knuckle profession­al lives of nurses in a Chicago medical facility. Despite the relentless stress of duties that literally carry life or death consequenc­es in many cases, these tireless and gallant workersman­age to keep their spirits undimmed.

“Counting On” (8 p.m., 12 a.m., TLC): Season 11 draws to a close with a finale called “A Quarantine Courtship,” which finds the Duggars adjusting to a new normal during the pandemic. Jana and the younger girls make masks for the whole family, then make the rounds to deliver them. Meanwhile, John David tackles responsibi­lity for baking an intricate cake for Abbie’s birthday.

“Backyard Envy” (9 p.m., Bravo): High-end designers and landscaper­s James DeSantis, GarrettMag­ee and Melissa Brasier and their Manscapers associates take on one of themost logistical­ly challengin­g jobs of their careers at a remote location on picturesqu­e Fire Island in a Season 2 finale called “Where Do We Grow From Here?”
