Cool, breezy and wet start to October
While temperatures for the last three days of Septemberwere belownormal, the month ended more than11/2 degrees above normal. September ended with precipitation near normal, although no precipitation fell at O’Hare Airport fromSeptember 14th through September 26th. October will start quite cool with high temperatures expected to remain in the 50s for the first four days of the month which has only occurred eight times since 1872. The normal high for the first three days of October is 68 before dropping to 67 on the fourth. Temperatures begin towarm as the next workweek begins with the high expected to be above normal byWednesday.
The best chance for precipitation over the next few days will be Thursday and late Saturday into Sunday with no heavy rain expected.
