Jimmy But­ler had the ball in his hands on ba­si­cally ev­ery pos­ses­sion of the Heat’s vic­tory over the Lak­ers in Game 3 of theNBA Fi­nals on Sun­day night. All in­di­ca­tion­swere theHeat planned to stick to the same plan trail­ing 2-1 in the se­ries ahead of Tues­day night’s Game 4, which ended too late for this edi­tion. But­ler had 40 points, 11 re­bounds and 13 as­sists Sun­day. “He has to make some things hap­pen for us,” Heat coach Erik Spoel­stra said. “He did that in a bril­liant­way, and he’ll likely have to do some­thing very sim­i­lar again.”

Heat All-Star cen­ter Bam Ade­bayo had planned to play Tues­day af­ter miss­ing Games 2 and 3 with a strained neck.
