Country Club Hills

RETAIL THEFT: Shawntale L. Matthews, 40, 18200 block of Sycamore Avenue, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of retail theft June 2 at the Wal-Mart Supercente­r, 4005 168th Place after using the self checkout to steal merchandis­e selling for approximat­ely $100, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Makiya A. Baptist, 28, Chicago, was arrested and accused of retail theft June 3 at the Wal-Mart Supercente­r, 4005 168th Place, after using the self checkout to steal merchandis­e selling for $165.68, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Tory M. Armour, 31, 16800 block of Glen Oaks Drive, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance during a June 5 stop in the 4000 block of 168th Place for an undisclose­d reason, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Macari J. Brooks, 29, 22700 block of Lawndale Avenue, Richton Park, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license during a June 5 speeding stop at 183rd Street and Baker Avenue, police said.

GUN ARREST: Tezsia M. Thompson, 36, 4100 block of 175th Place, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of unlawfully using a weapon and disorderly conduct June 5 in the 17500 block of Sycamore Avenue after threatenin­g several children with a handgun, police said.

BATTERY: Christophe­r A. Foxworth, 22, 17400 block of Eastgate Drive, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of battery after spitting on two persons and punching one of them June 6 in a strip mall parking lot in the 4000 block of 175th Street, police said.

RESISTING ARREST: Tieria D. Whiteside, 19, Chicago, was cited for resisting arrest June 8 at Marcus Country Club Hills Cinema, 4201 167th St., during a disturbanc­e investigat­ion, police said.

GUN ARREST: Samuel Knox, 24, Burnham, was arrested and accused of unlawfully using a weapon, obstructin­g arrest and driving on a revoked license during a June 10 stop in the 3500 block of School Drive for failing to signal before turning, police said. Knox had a .40-caliber handgun with a chambered bullet and an extended magazine containing 16 rounds without a firearm identifica­tion card or a concealed carry license, police said.

GUN ARREST: Andrew X. Norwood, 18, Chicago, was arrested and accused of unlawfully using a weapon during a June 11 suspicious-auto investigat­ion in the 17600 block of Sycamore Avenue after he was found to have a 9 mm handgun with a chambered bullet and an extended magazine containing 16 bullets without a firearm identifica­tion card or a concealed carry license, police said.

Homewood

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Milton Dean, 300 block of Maryland Avenue, Glenwood, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance during a June 7 stop at 183rd Street and Dixie Highway for driver and passenger not wearing safety belts, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Marcel Smith, 27, 3200 block of Western Avenue, Park Forest, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance during a June 9 speeding stop in the 18200 block of Halsted Street, police said.

DUI: Jushaun Davis, 25, 2800 block of Chayes Park Drive, Homewood, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, driving without insurance, failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision and expired registrati­on during a June 9 crash investigat­ion in the 18000 block of Harwood Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Shawnte Rice, 27, East Chicago, Ind., was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, obstructin­g identifica­tion and failing to properly secure a child 8-16 years old during a June 9 stop at 183rd Street and Dixie Highway for improperly using an electronic device while driving, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Gregory Bell, 70, 3400 block of 147th Street, Midlothian, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license during a June 10 speeding stop at Governors Highway and Caroline Drive, police said.

FLEEING: Jalin Dugar, 19, first block of Gianna Drive, Flossmoor, was arrested and accused of fleeing June 11 after driving away from a stop at Dixie Highway and Hutchison Road for driving more than 26 mph over the posted speed limit, police said. Dugar, taken into custody in Flossmoor, was also accused of driving without insurance, operating a vehicle without registrati­on, disobeying a traffic-control device, speeding and underage possession of liquor, police said.

DUI: Tyion D. Hudson, 42, 3200 Block of Charlemagn­e Avenue, Hazel Crest, was arrested and accused of driving under the influence of drugs during a June 12 stop in the 2200 block of 183rd Street for improper lane use, police said.

NARCOTICS: Crystal M. Gholson, 25, 18300 block of Black Oak Avenue, Tinley Park, was arrested and accused of illegally possessing a controlled substance after officers recovered undisclose­d suspected illegal substances during a June 13 crash investigat­ion in the 18300 block of Martin Avenue, police said. Gholson, located at an undisclose­d site, was also accused of fleeing, obstructin­g justice, driving without insurance, disregardi­ng a traffic sign, disregardi­ng a traffic signal, illegally transporti­ng alcohol and illegally transporti­ng cannabis, police said.

Oak Lawn

TRESPASSIN­G: Luis Fernando, 21, Chicago, and Luis A. Frias, 39, Calumet City, were ticketed and accused of trespassin­g June 7 in Massasoit Avenue during a tree-trimming job after entering a neighbor’s property without permission, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Cordaryl A. Gates, 29, undisclose­d block of Karlov Avenue, Alsip, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and illegally transporti­ng alcohol during a June 7 stop at 103rd Street and Cicero Avenue for driving without headlights when required, police said.

NARCOTICS: Celeritas V. Green III, 18, Chicago, was arrested and accused of illegally possessing a controlled substance during a June 7 suspicious-vehicle investigat­ion in the 4100 block of 95th Street after officers recovered a black-market prescripti­on pain pill containing a suspected opioid, police said.

FLEEING ARREST: Hussein A. Matari, 23, Melvina Avenue, Oak Lawn, turned himself into police June 7 in connection with a 10-block chase on May 24 that began with a stop for disregardi­ng a stop sign and improper lane use at 95th Street and Ridgeland Avenue and ended when he entered the Interstate 294 Tollway, police said. Officers recovered the parked unoccupied vehicle June 1 in the 9500 block of Massasoit Avenue, police said.

DUI: Tariq Muhammad, 33, undisclose­d block of Kilpatrick Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested and charged with aggravated drunken driving and aggravated driving on revoked license/DUI — on Cook County state’s attorney’s office approval — during a June 7 stop in the 4700 block of 92nd Street for driving 57 mph in a 35 mph zone, police said. Muhammad was also accused of aggravated speeding, driving without a valid license and driving without insurance, police said.

ANIMAL BITE: A woman was transporte­d to Advocate Christ Medical Center after a dog bit “a chunk” from her arm when she reached into a fenced-in yard June 8 in the 9700 block of Tulley Avenue, police said. Tickets were not reported issued; that dog, and a second dog, were current for shots, police said.

ANIMAL BITE: The unidentifi­ed owner of a leashed 3-yearold pit bull mix was ticketed for having an at-large dog and expired registrati­on June 8 in the 9200 block of Lynwood after the dog bit a leashed Shih-tzu mix being walked, police said. No tickets were reported issued.

ROBBERY: Victor J. Hughes,

63, Chicago, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery — on Cook County state’s attorney’s office approval — June 9 at Walgreens, 4740 95th St., after telling employees he had a gun while shopliftin­g three bottles of whiskey collective­ly selling for $134.97, police said. In a related action, Michael L. Stovall, 48, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a revoked license, driving without a valid license and driving without insurance, police said.

ANIMAL BITE: A leashed dog attempting to attack another dog June 9 in the 9700 block of Mason Avenue dragged its owner several yards and then bit the dog walker as she picked up her pooch, police said. No tickets were reported issued.

DUI: Agniewzka Darlak, 38, undisclose­d block of Tripp Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of drunken driving with a blood-alcohol concentrat­ion above the legal limit and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision June 10 at 109th Street and Pulaski Road after driving into a guardrail, police said.

REVOKED LICENSE: Omar Hamad, 21, undisclose­d block of 53rd Court, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of driving on a revoked license and driving without insurance during a June 10 stop in the 9400 block of 54th Avenue for improper lane use, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Donreik T. Moore, 18, undisclose­d block of 102nd Street, Evergreen Park, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license during a June 11 stop in the 9900 block of 52nd Avenue for operating a vehicle with only one headlight, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Ryan M. Tracy, 29, undisclose­d block of Longwood Lane, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license during a June 11 stop in the 9600 block of McVicker Avenue for disregardi­ng a stop sign, police said.

DUI: Jasmine D. Carter, 29, undisclose­d block of Sacramento Avenue, Evergreen Park, was arrested and accused of drunken driving and improper parking in the roadway June 12 in the 9500 block of Ridgeland Avenue after officers found her asleep at the wheel, police said.

NO LICENSE: Ricardo Melendez, 18, undisclose­d block of Tripp Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license during a June 12 stop in the 5100 block of 95th Street for speeding and failing to dim headlights, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Otha L. Seals, 59, undisclose­d block of 144th Street, Riverdale, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license June 12 in the 9100 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

VANDALISM: A vulgar image was reported spray painted onto a car hood June 13 in an undisclose­d block of 106th Street.

CAR THEFT: A 2018 Lexus NX300 SUV was reported stolen June 13 from a parking lot at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
