A demolition derby will be held at 7 p.m. June 26 at Dirt Oval Route 66 in Joliet. Fireworks will end the evening, which is billed as a salute to front line workers. Tickets are $13-$25. Virtual theater
A virtual One Act Festival online will be presented from This Moment Productions until Aug. 15. Weekly series starts with “Meta-Morphosis” by Ken Preuss and directed by Leah Griff and concludes with “Poetry, Prose, and … Pirates!” by Ken Preuss and directed by co-founder and creative director Dana Hall. Summer jams
Centennial Park West Concert Series in Orland Park features headliners Scott Stapp June 26, Blue Oyster Cult on Aug. 14 and the Ultimate Queen Celebration starring Marc Martel on Sept. 3. Shows feature three bands and start at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are sold for each show or all three; for $40-$90.
