ILLEGAL GUN: Marvon Alexander, 21, undisclose­d street address, Lansing, was arrested and accused of unlawfully possessing a weapon after officers recovered a handgun during an April 29 traffic stop, police said.

ILLEGAL GUN: Tifani Barron, 40, undisclose­d street address, Dolton, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon April 21 after displaying a handgun during an argument in a parking lot, police said.

ILLEGAL GUN: Dwayne Greenleaf, 28, undisclose­d street address, Dolton, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and being an armed habitual criminal after officers recovered a handgun during an April 25 traffic stop, police said.

ROAD RAGE: A 54-year-old Tinley Park man who allegedly put out his cigarette in another motorist’s face, lightly rear-ended the other vehicle and then fled is scheduled to return to Will County Circuit Court in June, according to court records online. William D Zeitz Sr., 18300 block of Lenore Lane, is charged with two counts of aggravated battery, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash and criminally damaging property April 28, according to court records online. Zeitz was behind another driver who was turning from La Grange Road onto Bormet Drive when he began criticizin­g the other’s driving skills, police said. Zeitz applied the lit end of his cigarette to the other man’s cheek, returned to the vehicle he was driving and used it to tap the rear of the other vehicle before driving away, police said.

HIGH-SPEED CHASE: A 23-year-old Richton Park man who crashed into two cars, injuring four other persons while fleeing police, is scheduled to return to Will County Circuit Court May 24 on four counts of aggravated fleeing/causing bodily injury, one count of aggravated fleeing/ causing more than $300 property damage and one count of aggravated fleeing/more than 21 mph, according to police and court records online. Jonathan A. Almonord, 23, 5200 block of Imperial Drive, Richton Park, fled an attempted traffic stop April 29 on Monee-Manhattan Road near Interstate 57, running two stop lights and a stop sign and then passing a University Park officer at an estimated speed of 100 mph near the Cicero Avenue/Governors Highway split, police said. Almonord continued on Cicero to University Parkway, where he ran a red light, striking two other vehicles, disabling all three and sending five people to an area medical center for treatment of minor injuries, police said. Almonord was also charged with driving on a suspended license.

ENRAGED PANHANDLER: A persistent panhandler was charged with aggravated assault to a police officer arresting him for disorderly conduct, according to police and Will County Circuit Court records online. Jerry L. Lewis, 62, 25600 block of Violet Lane, Monee, was ticketed for panhandlin­g May 4 and then taken into custody 90 minutes later in response to a motorist’s complaint that he was “obstructin­g traffic and being abusive to drivers” while asking for money, police said. Police said Lewis “tried kicking his way out of the squad car caged area” and later “tried to break through his cell door.” Lewis is paroled on a 12-year sentence, based on a burglary conviction out of Jackson County, according to Illinois Department of Correction­s records online.
