FELONY THEFT: Julio C. Aguirre Rodriguez, 27, was charged with felony theft April 8 during an investigation that began with a suspicious-person call from Ulta Beauty, 15754 La Grange Road, Orland Park, police said. Officers stopped Aguirre Rodriguez for driving without registration plates and saw 13 perfume testers valued at $1,698 along with three packaged perfumes and clothing collectively selling for $1,014, in his vehicle, police said. He was also charged with possessing fraudulent identification relating to a driver’s license belonging to a 19-yearold woman that had been modified with his information, police said.
ARMED ROBBERY: A Chicago man is scheduled to appear in Cook County court in Bridgeview Tuesday, charged with armed robbery/firearm and aggravated kidnapping/firearm, according to police and the Cook County state’s attorney’s office. Anthony Williams, 45, brandished a .38 caliber handgun April 9 at the AT&T store, 11901 Harlem Ave., but didn’t physically hurt the two employees he forced into a back room, police said. Williams temporarily escaped through a window when police responded to an alarm the manager activated, police said.
AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Daniel C. Cantave, 32, first block of Woodland Glen, Park Forest, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery after punching a teen in the face on the first block of Monee Road, according to police and Will County court records online. Cantave was taking a walk when he encountered the teen waiting for a bus, police said.
SHOOTING: A person described only as a male was shot in the leg April 8 after an altercation that started at the north end of Van Oostenbrugge Park, police said. The victim walked several blocks to Cottage Grove and Gouwens Lane, where officers found him, police said.
