William J. Bergin, 82

William J. Bergin, age 82, died March 25, Regional surrounded by his family.

William was born in Morton, PA and honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War in the 82nd Airborne. He worked for many years as a stock broker, living in Wallingfor­d most of his life before retiring and moving to Cape May, NJ, with his loving wife of 60 years, Claire.

William was a member of the American Legion, VFW and was a founding member of St. John Chrysostom Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and taking walks with his beloved dog Sandy.

He was the son of the late Joseph A. Bergin and Marie J. Parker and was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise, son, Thomas and sister Patricia LaFrance.

Survivors: He is survived by his loving wife Claire, children Michelle Volland, James J. Bergin (Michelle), Diane Moderski (Joe), Nancy Tracy; Grandchild­ren: Brian, Michael, Gregory, Thomas, Jennifer, Joseph, Justin, Erin, James, Kelly, Michael, and Megan. A sister Nancee McClay.

Visitation: Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA and Thursday morning from 9:15-10:15 a.m. at St. John Chrysostom Church, 617 S. Providence Road, Wallingfor­d.

Funeral Service: Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Chrysostom Church, 617 S. Providence Road, Wallingfor­d Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfiel­d. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made to the Lankenau Heart Pavilion, 100 E. Lancaster Ave., Wynnewood, PA 19096.
