Mary Schade (nee Jump)

Mary Schade (nee Jump) passed away on November 4, 2015 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL after a lengthy illness. The former long-time resident of Boothwyn was 90-years-old.

She is predeceased by her husband William J. Schade, her youngest grandchild, Vincent Patrick DiPaolo, and her son-in-law, Leonard Schwartzengraber.

Mary is survived by her daughters Carolyn DiPaolo (Peter) and Monica Schwartzengraber (Leonard). She is also survived by her grandchildren Michele, Teresa, William, Judy, and Domenick as well as her great children, Michael, Tiffany, Courtney, James, Zachary, Cameron, Cory, Aleesa, and Norah.

She grew up in Chester, PA. Mary had a 30+ year long career as a waitress working at the Log Cabin, Clover Leaf, Town House, Chadds Ford Inn and John’s Doggie Shop as well as at the Bolero, Manor House, and Diamond Beach Club in Wildwood, NJ during many summers. It was during these summers when she had an opportunity to meet Sammy Davis, Jr., Johnny Mathis, and Buddy Hackett. Mary enjoyed her cryptograms and word puzzles spending hours each day working through them in addition to playing the slots at the casinos. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope, AL.

The visitation will be held at Pagano Funeral Home in Garnet Valley on November 14, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Immediately following visitation, family and friends will gather at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery for the interment.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Catholic Relief Services, or Veteran of Foreign Wars.
