BROTHERHOO­D BREAKFAST ASSOCIATIO­N OF CHURCHES: Meets 6:45 a.m. Sunday, at Temple Baptist Church, 736 W. Seventh St., Chester, for installati­on of officers. The president asks all pastors to wear their robes. Next Sunday, the brotherhoo­d meets at Temple Baptist Church.

FAITH TABERNACLE CHURCH: 509W. Third St., Chester. The Women’s Health Ministry invites women to “take care of the most important woman in your life — you!” Come out Saturday, Jan. 9at 3 p.m. for an hour of fellowship, food and discussion on health topics that affect women. The topic is “Healthy Relationsh­ips.”

NORWOOD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH: 315 Chester Pike, holds a spaghetti dinner 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23. Tickets $8 for adults $4 for children ages 4-10, and free for children under 4. WHITE ROCK CHRISTIAN CHURCH: 308 W. Third St., Chester, opens its doors to the community on the 1st and 3rd Friday nights of the month for a hot meal at the “White Rock Café” from 6-7:30 p.m. through April. The event is free of charge. The White Rock Cafe is an initiative to provide food, warmth and fellowship in a comfortabl­e setting. It is not attached to any church service or Bible study. It seeks to reach the “churched, un-churched” and “de-churched”— people who attend church every Sunday, never entered a church or once attended church. Since its inception, White Rock Christian Church’s “White Rock Cafe” has served hundreds of homeless, community members and friends, with the goal is to serve hundreds more this season. WOODLYN BAPTIST CHURCH: MacDade Boulevard and School Lane, holds new girls and boys clubs for children grades 1-12 6:30-8 p.m. Sundays. The girls club is called G.E.M.S. (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) and includes team building, fun activities, crafts, life skills, achievemen­t badges, service projects and Bible lessons. The boys club is called C.S.B. (Christian Service Brigade) and includes action-filled activities, service projects, achievemen­t badges, sports, mentoring and Bible lessons.
