Human remains found in Ridley Creek State Park
MIDDLETOWN >> Pennsylvania State Police have been able to ascertain that the remains found deep in the woods at Ridley Creek State Park Friday belong to a white in her late 20s.
They added she was also tall and slender in build.
The remains were found by a hiker, who was walking along a trail deep in the woods at Ridley Creek State Park on New Year’s Day with his female who was teens to her late girlfriend, according state police.
Pennsylvania State Police at Media barracks said they are investigating the remains, which were discovered off the trail but nearby it.
Besides her gender, approximate age and build, investigators do not have
to any other identifying characteristics of the person at this time.
At some point, forensic facial reconstructionists may be asked to assist in the investigation to recreate what the young woman may have looked like.
Police said they entered the site off Barren Road, but that it was a 15- to 20-minute walk into the deep woods from there to get to the remains.
The body has
been
there for quite some time, according to police.
“We’re looking for missing persons,” state Trooper John O’Donnell said. “Anyone who’s reported anybody missing — even years, reach out to us.”
