Jane E. Forde, 85

Jane E. (nee McDermott) Forde, 85, died Jan. 1 at home. Mrs. Forde was born in Chester, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (nee Monaghan) McDermott. She graduated Notre Dame High School in Moylan. She worked as the executive assistant at Baldwins. She was the account manager at Aston Sporting Goods, which she owned with her husband from 1970 to 1988. She was a member of the Justice and Peace group at St. John Chrysostom Church, enjoyed walking on the beach, gardening and painting.

Mrs. Forde was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years James J. Forde, who died in Nov. 2013.

She is survived by her children Maureen (Fitz) Duer of Ocean City, NJ; Eileen (Jim) Fanelli of Rochester, NY; Brian (Beth) Forde of Berwyn; Patricia (Peter) O’Kane of Wallingford; Michael (Vivian) Forde of Sanford, FL; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Tuesday Jan. 5 at 10:00 AM in St. John Chrysostom Church 617 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford. Friends may call at the Church after 9:00 AM. Int. Private.
