John H. Cook Sr., 88
John H. Cook, Sr., “Cook”, 88, of the Westbrook Park section of Clifton Heights died Dec. 30, 2015, at his home after a brief illness. Cook proudly served his country as a Marine during World War II. He enjoyed his time as a coach for the Westbrook Park Boys Club, visiting the beach, spending time with his family and having a bowl of ice cream every evening before bed.
Cook is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Margaret (nee Sargent) Cook; his children, Richard (Kim), Peggy (Jack), John (Gretchen), Lois (Mike) and Dan. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, James.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Wednesday, January 6, 2015 at 6 p.m. and to his Funeral Service at 8 p.m, O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA 19064. Burial will be private. The family requests contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
