Robert Bruce Morris
Robert Bruce Morris, 68, of Downingtown, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was the beloved husband of Gayle D. Morris, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Ruth H. Ulmer Morris and the late Edward P. Morris.
Bruce proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a 33rd Degree Mason and served as Past Worshipful Master of the West Chester Lodge #322.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, and fishing, was an avid train enthusiast and was an all-around Mr. Fix-it.
In addition to his wife and mother, Bruce is survived by his daughters, Andrea M. Rowinski and her husband John and Sarah B. Morris; a brother, John E. Morris and his wife Carol and two grandchildren Ava M. Benner and Christopher W. Rowinski. Bruce was predeceased by a grandson, Aidan R. Rowinski.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2015 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, where family and friends will be received from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Shriners Hospital For Children, Office of Development 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
