Robert “Bob” Kulp, Jr. of Norwood formerly of Folcroft passed away at Taylor Hospice of Ridley Park in final peace surrounded by family at the age of 85 after a valiant struggle with many illnesses. He was the son of the late Robert and Ellen (nee Kirkpatric­k) Kulp. Bob joined the U.S. Army in 1949 and spent 14 months in Korea as a combat Engineer building airstrips and clearing roads under enemy fire. He was very proud of the army and his contributi­on to our country. Upon returning home in 1952 he married his childhood sweetheart , Irene Jones and would have celebrated their 64th year anniversar­y this January. He retired from Medford Meat’s Company after 41 years of service.

Bob was predecease­d by his son John Kulp and his siblings Joseph Kulp, Ruth Mathues and Anna Shane. Survivors; Beloved wife Irene (nee Jones) Kulp. Devoted father of Robert Kulp (Carol), Daniel Kulp and Cindy Reeder (George). Loving grandfathe­r of Jill, Lauren, Jackie, Sarah, Chrissy, Leah, Kevin and Robby. Great-grandfathe­r of Rylan, Kellen, Greta, Maura and many nieces and nephews. His brother Frank Kulp who faithfully stood by him through his battle to survive. Also survived by Mary Kulp, Lori Kulp and Beth Anne Jones.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Wednesday from 6:00pm to the start of his funeral service at 8:00pm at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood. Burial private.
