Pauline Byre

Pauline Byre passed away peacefully on December 30, 2015 at the age of 91.

Mrs. Byre was born in Darby Township on March 4, 1924.

She graduated from Ridley High School and worked at General Electric until her retirement.

She married Von H. Byre on March 3, 1951. She remained married to Mr. Byre for 47 years until his death in 1998 at the age of 103.

At the time of her death, Mrs. Byre was living at Riddle Village having resided at 221 Wallingford Avenue in Wallingford for most of her married life.

She was a long time member of Friendship Chapter 551 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

During her long life, Mrs. Byre was a seamstress, a factory worker, a jewelry maker, a business owner and most especially a homemaker and caregiver for her husband Von.

A funeral service for Mrs. Byre will be held at the Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home on Thursday, January 7th at 11 am. Friends may call from 10-11 am. Interment will follow at Middletown Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
