Harry D. Moore, 66, of Holmes died Januar y 3, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Chester and reared in Linwood, he was a lifelong resident of Delaware County. Harry graduated from Chichester High School, class of 1967 and served in the US Army during Vietnam.

He was most recently employed by Acme Markets in Media as a Meat Clerk and previously worked as a residentia­l painter.

Harry was affiliated with St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed westerns, playing the organ and accordion, and time spent with his faithful dog, Clementine. Most important to Harry was his family, especially his only granddaugh­ter.

He was predecease­d by his parents, John and Claudine “Dolly” Perkins Moore and his sister, Patricia Widmayer.

Harry was the loving husband of Sherry L. Houpt Moore, his wife of 43 years; father of Allison McKinney and Zachary Moore (Jill Chorney); grandfathe­r of Claudine McKinney; and brother of George Moore, Dianne Beaumont, William Moore and Gerald Perkins.

Visitation: 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078 and after 9:00 AM Friday at the church.

Burial Rite and Eucharist: 10 AM Friday, January 8, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, Third St. & Wanamaker Ave., Essington, PA 19029.

Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery.
