New Jersey, how’s this sound? Instead of fighting over what tax to cut, raise the gas tax less and pass a bill saying a certain portion of other taxes go to the infrastructure. JUST WONDERING DAN
HOW OBAMA GAVE US HOPE
Bernie was right, so many people forgot how hopeless it felt before President Obama went into office. My own brother wrote about the lack of kept promises but I think even he had forgotten that we were on the verge of a great depression. There was a horrendous collapse foreseen to occur on Wall Street but yet our president was able to avert what seemed to be the inevitable. Granted, he should have ignored the GOP and used the two years of Democratic majority congress and senate to accomplish his agenda because giving them input on insurance and any other issue was futile. AMERICA IS GREAT
TWO-FACED BERNIE
I am not Bernie Sanders fan because I do not believe in socialism, but if I was Bernie Sanders supporter I would be mad that he is backing Hillary Clinton. What a hypocrite he is. He talked nothing but bad about Hillary, and now he supporting her. I hope all his supporters do not support her and become smart and vote for Donald Trump. I know you probably won’t print this because you’re no longer the Daily Times – you should call your newspaper the Hillary Clinton Times.
TAX THE COLLEGE
I agree with “Vote Them Out,” who brought up the Wallingford Swarthmore School District raising taxes in excess of the state-mandated maximum. I would suggest that Swarthmore College starts kicking in. They have more money than they know what to do with, and they could take the schools in their area under their wing. It would help the whole district. Also, taxing the production and sell of violent entertainment could virtually pay for preschool through college, and that needs to be done – that’s the answer.
REVIVE THE MERC
Boy, I wish the Ford Motor Co. would bring back the beautiful Mercurys again. I really missed the Mercs. They were an American pride of a car. Remember “Rebel without a Cause?” James Dean had that beautiful Mercury. I wish Ford would wise up and bring back the Mercury and get ready of some of those other ugly cars that they make.
SOCIAL JUSTICE, BLAH BLAH BLAH
I can’t believe that people pay to listen the Bill Clinton. At the convention he was rambling, rambling, rambling, talking about social justice and whatever else. He’s past his prime. Go away, Bill Clinton.
DICKY’S TRICKS
Hey “High In The Sky,” you’re correct that there were many people who tried to say that pot was a gateway drug before Reagan. But they were just doctors that were on the payroll of Nixon and his administration. Nixon had a report on drugs done by disinterested doctors and they have him the objective conclusion that pot was no more harmful to you than alcohol. He threw that report out and made up his own rules. Get with it, man.

Joe Biden says the middle class is doing fine. Joe Biden says there’s no lack of jobs. Joe Biden is so out of touch. Millions of American kids are graduating college and – and I mean millions – with no job and no way to pay back their loans. Joe, you’re totally out of touch and it’s time to retire. BOOTHWYN
LOTS OF TAXES
To add to what “No Profits, No Taxes” said, these people whining about “70 percent of businesses in Pennsylvania pay no income tax” – the Corporate Net Income Tax, to be specific, yet they can never seem to remember the actual name of the tax they’re so concerned about – don’t seem to take into account all of payroll taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, etc. that businesses pay into the state treasury. YEAH RIGHT
