AND THE LOSER IS ...

How come Steve Harvey can name the wrong person in the beauty contest and be commended, but when two accountants mess up the best picture, all hell breaks loose? DOUBLE STANDARD

NO WEED FOR FUN

To “The Roofer,” you were probably up on the roof and that’s why you got burned on that job. Like I said, medical marijuana is one thing, but recreational use is only for the dummies. THE CITIZEN

READ IT AND WEEP

I didn’t read Jodine Mayberry’s guest column that “Say What?” referenced, but I feel certain it was a liberal, left-wing interpretation of Obamacare. And surely the Delco Times will allocate a full page to push her agenda. My comment is about this caller’s astute analysis that the ACA disrupted 90 percent of Americans’ insurance to help 5 percent of the population. Logic dictates you help the 5 percent separately. So what is the real reason the Obama administration wasted trillions of taxpayers’ dollars and created a national disaster of our health care? Clearly, it is too hard for liberals to comprehend common sense when their ideology gets in the way. IMMORAL TIMES

TARGET CASEY

I’ve been reading political coverage and commentary on protests, particularly the ones directed at Pat Toomey. Since we have only one Republican senator in the tri-state area, Sen. Toomey is attacked by liberal, progressive activists. It is our fault that we don’t protest the offices of a do-nothing named Robert Casey. Has Sen. Casey ever voted across party lines? He is rarely seen. I urge Republicans to protest him.

CRONY POLITICS

An article in the Times noted that Sen. Bob Casey brought a Lafyette Hills man with Parkinson’s Disease caring for his daughter Down syndrome to hear Trump’s speech to Congress. Pat Meehan brought Nick Miccarelli, another Republican politician. And there is the stark difference between the two parties – Bob Casey brought someone who he actually cares about, and Meehan brought another crony of his.

‘MISSION ACCOMPLISHED’

To “A Cavalcade Of Idiots,” it amazes me how the “Dumbocrats” are always name calling when they are the ones who have provided America with a plethora of some of the dumbest and most memorable quotes. Some of which are: “A chicken in every pot;” “I did not inhale;” “you have to pass the bill to know what’s in it;” and, of course, “if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor.” Yes, boys and girls, the Democrats are truly the epitome of the “Cavalcade of Idiots.”

CAVE IN

In his latest opinion, Chris Freind calls Oscar night “the left’s most extravagant night.” Well, if this is so, it shows again that right-wingers care about nothing cultural at all and if they’re stuck in the mud with their knuckles dragging on the ground. It’s fine with me if they want to be like that.

SEEING RED

I’m getting pretty irritated at the so-called liberal media’s non-coverage of the corruption going on in Washington regarding Donald Trump’s operatives and their contacts with Russian intelligence. Trump’s operatives have been in touch with the chairmen of the Senate and the House intelligence committees, who are supposed to be having hearings on these things. The impropriety going on there is mind boggling and nobody is saying anything about it.

GOD BLESS CAPITALISM

I saw a segment on the news about how much money the Obamas have made by having their books published in the United States – they’ve netted a cool $65 million. I wonder if Michelle Obama is proud to be an American now.

REMEMBER GOP RESPECT

After watching the president speak last night, the Democratic Party should be ashamed of themselves. Nancy Pelosi and Keith Ellison didn’t even stand or clap. What rude, horrible, disgusting people. When Obama was in office, he was “not my president,” but I respected him.

You know why? Because my parents taught me to respect people who hold different opinions or beliefs than you do.
