Kathleen Mary Cahill (née Cox)

Kathleen Mary Cahill (née Cox), age 79 recently of Easton, PA and a longtime resident of Media, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Drexel Hill, Kathleen graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan in 1958. She was a parishioner of Nativity BVM in Media, PA. Kathy loved being a mother. She doted on her children and the kids from the neighborhood. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, gardening, and singing. She enjoyed musicals, particularly Oklahoma and The King and I. Kathy was a devoted Navy wife who travelled with her family when duty called. She was blessed with the opportunity to meet Pope Paul the 6th in 1964 in Italy. Above all, Kathy was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmom.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Joseph P. Cahill, who is a retired Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy. The two married in 1964. She is also survived by her loving children, Peter Cahill of Media, Kathleen Cahill of Media, and Patrick Cahill (Kerry) of Philadelphia; her granddaughter, Alexa; and her brother, John Cox, F.S.C. (LaSalle Brother) of Rhode Island. Mass of Christian Burial at Nativity BVM Catholic Church (30 E. Franklin St., Media, PA 19063) will be celebrated on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10 am. Friends and family may call from 9-10 am. Burial will follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
