Egg-citing Easter events planned all around Delco

CONCORD

• Concord Township will hod its Easter Egg Hunt 11 a.m. Sat., April 8. The rain date is April 9 at 1 p.m. The Easter Bunny arrives annually via fire truck and children bring their baskets to participat­e in the egg hunt. Kids can enjoy snacks, crafts, and more.

FOLCROFT

• St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1500 Glen Ave., Folcroft, will hold its annual Easter egg hunt 10 a.m. Sat., April 8, rain or shine, for kids under 8 years old. There will be separate hunting areas for younger and older kids. Parking is in the rear of the church. Families are asked to bring their own baskets for egg collecting.

GLENOLDEN

• Glenolden Borough and Glenolden Parks and Recreation will host the Annual Easter Egg Hunt Sat., April 8, in Glenolden Park. Registrati­on is at 11 a.m., and all children must be accompanie­d by an adult. Hunts will have the following age divisions: 1-3, 4-6, 7-9. Families can bring cameras to capture pictures with the Easter Bunny.

MARPLE

• The Marple Sports Arena will host its Fifth Annual Easter Egg Hunt 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thurs., April 13. Cost is $12 and includes fun with Marple Mountain, Moonbounce­s, Easter egg hunt, meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, crafts, face painting and much more. MEDIA

• The Great Media Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Media Lions and McCarrin Chiropract­ic will be held 11 a.m. Sat., Apr. 8 in Glen Providence Park. The rain date :is April 9 at 1 p.m.

• Media will hold its Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Luncheon, sponsored by the Media Recreation Board, 11 a.m. Sat., April 15, on the grounds by the Tot Lot. The annual Easter luncheon with the Easter Bunny will be held immediatel­y following the hunt in the Community Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with food, fun, and games for everyone.

MIDDLETOWN TWP.

• Linvilla Orchards, 137 West Knowlton Rd., Media, will host Hayrides to Bunnyland every day until Sat., April 15, for children and adults. People can hop on over to visit the Easter Bunny’s House and get a treat for the children. Easter candy, flowers, cakes, pies, pony rides (weekends only), train rides, face painting, baby animals and fun for all ages will make a day at Linvilla a treasured Easter memory. • Boscov’s Granite Run will host an Easter Eggstravag­anza 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8. Children and their families are invited to come take a free photo with the Easter bunny, take part in fun activities throughout the store and take home great prizes and snacks.

NETHER PROVIDENCE

• Wallingfor­d Presbyteri­an Church will hold its 8th annual Easter Egg-stravaganz­a 10 a.m. Sat., April 8. Check- in opens at 9:30. Three separate hunt areas will be set up by age, to make gathering eggs more fair. Groups will be 0 -3 years, 4 - 6 years and 7 - 11 years old. After the hunt, there will be a pancake brunch. There is no cost for the program, but a free will offering will be accepted. The hunt will be held rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, the hunt will be held indoors.

• John Wesley Cross American Legion Post 507 will hold their annual Easter Egg Hunt at Norwood’s lower park on Saturday, April 8 at 11 a.m. Rain date is scheduled for April 15 at 11 a.m. Children should bring a basket for collecting. JWC Post 507 is a non-profit organizati­on that is dedicated to serving veterans, their families and the community.

• John Wesley Cross American Legion Post 507 will also hold their annual “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny” at the post’s upper hall 9-11 a.m. Sunday, April 9. Children 6 and under are free, 7-12 years old are $5 and everyone,13 years and over, are $7. JWC Post 507 is a non-profit organizati­on that is dedicated to serving veterans, their families and the community.The post is at 20 W. Cleveland Ave., Norwood.

PROSPECT PARK

• Olivet Presbyteri­an Church invites all community youth to an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 15, starting at 10:30 a.m. The event will be held rain or shine and is free.
