Helen J. Weaver went to be with the Lord in Lancaster, PA on Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 after a year long struggle with ALS.

She was formerly from Lebanon and Media, PA, was the devoted wife of Paul E. Weaver, married 72 years and daughter of the late Ralph and Alice Bordner. She attended South Lebanon High School and Lebanon Business College, then employed in the Office of The Lebanon Knitting Mills. She was a graduate of The Licensed Practical Nursing School at Crozer Hospital in Upland, PA, where she had been employed on the Medical Surgical Floor for several years. She also did Private Duty Nursing in Media, PA and throughout Delaware and Montgomery Counties and Philadelph­ia areas. She was also an Angel Hands Volunteer at Willow Valley Retirement Health Care.

Helen was a Cheer Leader in High School and acted in several plays in school and church. She was a Girl Scout Leader in Middletown Township Delaware county for many years, also many church activities including a leader for the Junior Fellowship Group and a Mission Leader.

Helen was an avid gardener and her flowers expressed her love for the beauty of God’s Creation. She was a former member of The Blue Church in Springfiel­d, PA and currently a member of Grace Brethren at Willow Valley.

Surviving, in addition to Husband, Paul are, son Bruce and wife Carol, Milford Delaware, Daughter Paula Levens, Media, PA, Daughter in Law Patricia Weaver, Hudson, NH, also 10 grandchild­ren, 5 great grandchild­ren, also many nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by son Rickie, son David and grandson Ryan, and by sisters Mary Wagner and Beryl Moyer and brothers Robert and Harry Bordner.

Funeral Services will be held in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc, 508 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, PA, 17042 on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 1:00PM with a viewing from 12:00PM until the time of the service.

Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville, PA.

There will be a Celebratio­n of Life Service on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 3pm at Willow Valley Retirement Community, The Manor North, 600 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA 17602.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made in her honor to Water Street Missions, 210 South Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603 or The ALS Associatio­n of Greater Philadelph­ia Chapter, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002.
