Gloria Swanson Rothwell (nee Harmon) age 91 of Chester, Pa. departed this life on April 2, 2017.

Mrs. Rothwell was born in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware to the late William J. Harmon and Nora May Hudson Harmon. Mrs. Rothwell was a retired registrar having worked for the Bureau of Vital Statistics. She was a longtime faithful member of Asbury AME Church in Chester, Pa. where she was a stewardess, missionary and usher. Widow of Harold H. Rothwell, Sr., Mrs. Rothwell was also predecease­d by three sons Michael Rothwell, Harold Rothwell, Jr., and Rodney Rothwell. The beautiful memory of Mrs. Rothwell’s wonderful life will remain here forever in the hearts of her loving family: children Barbara Dennis, Dolores Bulluck, LeRoy Rothwell (Joyce), Vernon Rothwell (Darlene), Brian Rothwell (Gretchen), and Dennis Rothwell (Pamela), 23 grandchild­ren, a number of great and great-great grandchild­ren, many other relatives and friends.

Service: Saturday April 8, 2017 at 10:00 am at Asbury AME Church 1712- 28 Providence Ave. Chester, Pa. Viewing: 8:00 am-10:00 am. No viewing after the eulogy. Usher’s Service will begin at 9:30 am. Interment: Chester Rural Cemetery – Chester, Pa.

Abramo (Al) Angelo O’Rangers, a resident of Aston, Pa., age 76, peacefully left this world on Friday, March 31, 2017.

Al was a proud Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Tortuga (LSD-26). He was employed by Boeing and retired after more than 40 years working in Research & Developmen­t. Al was an active member of the John Wesley Cross American Legion Post # 507 in Norwood where he served as Post Commander from 1998-2007 and also served as 8th District Commander from 2010-2012.

He enjoyed hunting, bowling, dancing, and spending time with his family. Al is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Anne C. (nee Weeder); his sons, Michael (Joann), Mark (Jackie), Richard (Pam), and Daniel (Janine); a brother, William O’Rangers; and a sister, Maryann Sands; his grandchild­ren, Amanda, Ashley, Michael, Lindsey, Justin, and Mason; and his great-grandchild­ren, Steven and Jonathan. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Al was preceded in death by his granddaugh­ter, Heather O’Rangers; and by his parents Angelo and Viola O’Rangers.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike in Norwood, Pa. 19074 with a Service to follow at 11 A.M. His burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Al’s name may be made to John Wesley Cross Post # 507, 20 West Cleveland Avenue, Norwood, Pa. 19074.
