Graham’s hurdles work leads Ridley to sweep

Jeff Piscitelli dashed to victory in the 100 and also helped the Tigers claim the 4x100 to secure their first win of the season with a 96-53 decision over Harriton. Ridley swept the Rams and Tigers by scores of 110-35 and 96-54, respective­ly.

Tony Graham bested the field in the 300 hurdles in a time of 42.9, and also won the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.8 to spur the Green Raiders. Springfiel­d’s Liam Galligan cleaned up in the 800 and 1,600 for the Cougars, while teammate Dashawn Dale claimed victory in both the high jump and pole vault. Marple Newtown’s Haverford’s Erik McCallion beat the field in the 400 by more than two full seconds.

In the Inter-Ac League: PENN CHARTER 76, EPISCOPAL ACADEMY 46 » Elias Lindgren was a double winner for the Churchmen with triumphs in the 1,600 and 3,200, Jack Bush claimed the 400-meter dash and Harry Riley took home the shot put, but EA fell to the Quakers.

In the Del Val League: GLEN MILLS 100, CHESTER 66 » Amir Wester led the charge for the Battlin’ Bulls with wins in the 1,600 and 3,200 and Keon Ratin won the 400 and helped the 4x100 team to a triumph. Chester’s Jameer Green was a double winner in the long jump and triple jump.

In the Ches-Mont League: KENNETT 123, SUN VALLEY 18 » Caliph Jones came in second place in the 100-meter dash by a tenth of a second, but that’s as good as it got for the Vanguards as the Blue Demons won every event.

Girls Track

Make it an even 70 for Strath Haven. The Panthers cruised past Haverford (97-53) and Springfiel­d (134-16) and the Fords trucked past the Cougars (132-18) in a Central League tri-meet that marked Haven’s 69th and 70th consecutiv­e league wins.

Olivia Traynor helped Notre Dame get off to a great start as she shot a 1-over par 37 in the Irish’s 224-264 Inter-Ac win over Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. Brianna Marmorstei­n followed up Traynor’s outing with a 41 and Bridget Pyott carded a 42 for Notre Dame.
