Tulskie’s five goals ignite Springfiel­d’s rout of Ridley

In a rivalry renewed Thursday night, Springfiel­d got the better of Ridley and then some.

The Cougars routed the Green Raiders 15-4 with Mike Tulskie scoring five times and Kyle Long facilitati­ng the attack. Long finished with a staggering seven assists and managed to find the back the net himself. On the other side, George Santilla made eight saves for Ridley, while Devon Tavani netted two goals and one assist.

In other Central League action: CONESTOGA 14, HAVERFORD 12» The Pioneers took a lead early and held on late as the Fords outscored Stoga 8-7 in the second half. Haverford came up short, though, despite a five-goal effort from John Sheivert and sterling work by Danny Tierney in goal. He made 18 saves in defeat. Jack Daly was also outstandin­g with three goals and three assists for the Fords.

STRATH HAVEN 9, RADNOR 4» The Panthers limited the Raiders to one goal in each quarter. Clayton Proctor led the offense with two goals and one assist. Connor Pierce pitched in with two goals. GARNET VALLEY 16, MARPLE NEWTOWN 7 » Marlon Weathers and Jake Long had two goals each for Marple Newtown. No details reported for Garnet Valley.

PENNCREST 12, UPPER DARBY 8» Joe Quintilian­o did most of the offensive work for the Lions (3-7) with six goals. Matt Dougherty added three goals, while Joe Nichols contribute­d one goal and three assists.

Daniel “Jake” Robinson and Mike Toohey tallied twice each for the Royals.

In the Inter-Ac: HAVERFORD SCHOOL 10, GERMANTOWN ACADEMY 9 » Three goals each from Luke O’Grady and Pearse Glavin helped the Fords snap a two-game skid. Five different Haverford players found the back of the net as the Fords found themselves on the right side of a nail-biter. Connor Devine contribute­d two assists as did Johnny Nostrant. Parker Henderer and Sage Garito split time in goal, combining for 10 saves.
