Flaherty ensures DiBlasi State Farm claims victory

Pat Flaherty had a summer night to remember Thursday.

Flaherty posted a triple-double for DiBlasi State Farm in a 34-23 West Laurel Hill/Springfiel­d Boys League Intermedia­te division victory over Grass Plus.

Flaherty, a diminutive guard, scored 10 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished 11 assists for DiBlasi. Brett Mariani netted seven points for Grass Plus.

In other Intermedia­te action: GERIOT CAVALIERS 37, WEST LAUREL HILL 23 » Brayden Delaney scored nine points to lead the Cavs, while Karmon Bambaro poured in a gamehigh 10 points for West Laurel Hill. JEFF SHERMER CARPENTER 35, FALCONE & TRUMAN 23 » Ed Kennedy showed the way for Shermer with eight points. Jayden Rothley finished with seven for the losers.

In the 6th-7th grade division: TEAM MORGAN J 54, TEAM JONES 34 » Matt Robak (12 points) and Micah Walker (11) showed the way for the winners. Ismail Glasgow had 11 points for Team Jones.

In the 4th-5th grade divison: TEAM SCHLOEGEL 23, TEAM PARKER 22 » Keegan McGee struck for nine points and Austin Auquilla added eight for Schloegel. Connal Strachan tallied eight points for Parker.
