Emily C. Wilson (nee Ashenfelder)

Emily C. Wilson (nee Ashenfelder), age 94, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital.

Born in Sharon Hill, she was a former resident of Darby, and had resided in Glenolden for over 30 years.

Mrs. Wilson was retired from Kelly & Huber Eyeglass Company. She was a longtime member of Darby Presbyterian Church.

She was an artist of considerable talent who produced many beautiful oil paintings. She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, and enjoyed gardening and her flowers.

Mrs. Wilson loved her cat, “Little Cat’ and her previous cat, “Puddy”. She was a longtime contributor to the Pennsylvania S.P.C.A.

Daughter of the late John and Emily (nee Linker) Ashenfelder, she was also predeceased by her brothers, Dilwyn and William Ashenfelder; her former husband, Maurice Schroeder; and her spouse, James J. Wilson.

She is survived by her children, Judy M. Xaras, Dale Williams, and Mark Schroeder. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Marvil Funeral Home, 1110 Main Street, Darby. There will be a viewing after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment: Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall.
