Gallagher boosts Springfiel­d to nonleague win

Colin Gallagher netted a goal and assisted on one by teammate Adam Short Tuesday night as Springfiel­d cruised to a 4-2 victory over Upper Moreland in a nonleague boys soccer game.

Jack Crockarell added a goal for the Cougars, who outshot the opposition, 23-4, and goalie Chris Walters tallied two saves.

Girls Soccer

Gretchen Crow and Elisa Kruse tallied a goal each to lead Strath Haven to a 2-0 nonleague win over Friends’ Central in its season opener. Crow got things started with a goal in the 29th minute and Kruse put the game away in the 65th while goalie Carly Perlman had two saves in net for the Panthers (1-0).
