NICK OF TIME

To “Tick Tock,” along with Clock Services on Garrett Road who people mentioned, you can also try John Fish and Son on Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr. They just fixed my grandfather clock. Down Lancaster Avenue and onto Cricket Avenue in Ardmore there’s Alexander Horn and Co. There’s also the Tick Tock Shop over in Aldan on Maryland Avenue off of Springfield Road. If you’re on the other side of the county, I’ve had some serious watch restorations done by Rings and Things at Booth’s Corner, so I imagine their clock repair is well done, too. SEE TO IT

I see the lawsuits over faulty eclipse glasses are starting. Let’s see how much to judgment can happen before all the details come out. DELCO BARRISTER

DRESS FOR SUCCESS

“Sandy In Secane” is right about the photo ops, but also give the Clintons and Obama credit that they also hugged the victims and the first ladies didn’t wear fashion footwear to insult them while visiting the disaster areas. And as you know, the New York Times, CNN and MSNBC and others think it is more important to be warm and fuzzy and not wear the right disaster clothing while visiting than providing financial support. I have a strange theory that the disaster victims may rather have the cash than the hugs and sweetness and the worry over what someone is wearing. MORTON

END THE POLITICS!

Enough’s enough. When is Sound Off going to get back to being Sound Off instead political views of everybody? Yes, we have dissension in this country and there’s division, but that division has been here for hundreds of years. Let’s get back to being a newspaper instead of a political format for everybody to push dissension. And start with the “cartoonist views” that they are always politically motivated. Let’s get back to being a nation. Let’s our differences aside and work towards humanity as we’re doing in Houston. Why does it have to take a disaster to bring us together? GET IT GOING IN UPPER DARBY

DITCH IT, ‘TOM’

Please do people that read the paper a favor and delete this “Mr. Tom In Linwood’s” comments. I’m getting sick of seeing his name in the paper and his derogatory remarks. Please do us a favor and delete all his calls.

A MILLION HERE, A MILLION THERE

“Sandy In Secane” says that Trump gave $1 million to the people in Houston. That is a pittance for Donald Trump. And they say they can’t see anything about Obama and Hillary giving anything to anybody when they were in the Oval Office. You know why? That’s because Obama and the Clintons didn’t make a big deal about giving money to people in distress, unlike Trump, who makes big deal about everything he does. PFFFTT

WE’LL DRINK TO THAT

The whole North Korean mess is another reason I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t drink. Considering Kim Jong-Il was the world’s single largest consumer of Hennessey, I suspect that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Maybe if Trump could sit down and have a few cognacs from Kim JongUn, we can get this whole thing amicably worked out. How do you think Nixon made so many diplomatic achievements while not being the world’s most charismatic elected official? OLD SCHOOL

STOP THE INSANITY

“A Veteran” says that the cops should be allowed to have military equipment because the gangbangers have military equipment. Well, whose fault is that? Even the generals in our country say that M15s, M16s and AK-47s shouldn’t be sold to regular people. But I bet you’re a big fan of the NRA, who thinks that regular people should be able to own these weapons. It’s not the gangbangers fault they have these weapons, it’s the NRA’s fault, but you don’t see it that way because you’re an idiot. GAG ME
