John P. ‘Jack’ Stanton

John P. “Jack” Stanton age 60 of Prospect Park passed away on October 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Jack retired from Kimberly-Clark.

An avid boater, Jack found peace being on the water, and loved eating seafood. He was a popular guy who could light up the room with his infectious smile also known for his practical jokes and quick wit. Jack was a member of the Norwood American Legion Post #507 and VFW Post # 7213. He liked county music, Irish dancing and was a Philadelph­ia Eagles and Phillies fan.

He was a devoted family man, a good loyal friend to many and always willing to lend a hand or help someone out. Jack lived his life to be an all around good guy.

He is predecease­d by his father William H. Stanton, daughter Julie Stanton and son Daniel Strong.

Survivors: Beloved husband of Diane E. Stanton, loving father of Job (Lisa) Stanton, Jamie Stanton, Deanna Murphy and Dannae (Daniel) Bunel, cherished grandfathe­r of Taylor, Julie, Rylee, Stefan, Alexa, Jacob, Owen, Evan and Danica, dear son of Anna May Stanton, loving brother of William J. Stanton, uncle of Bill, Bryan and Zach and also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Service: 12noon on Wednesday at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike Glenolden, PA. 19036.
