DiRita’s pair of goals helps O’Hara advance to

Anna DiRita scored twice and assisted on a third goal to lead Cardinal O’Hara to a 5-1 victory over Lansdale Catholic in the Catholic League field hockey quarterfin­als.

O’Hara’s reward is a semifinal date with Archbishop Carroll at a date to be determined.

Sara Grassi added one goal and one assist. Bunny Ripp and Kellie O’Conner added one goal each, while Katie Shallow and Grasey Hussey dished out two assists apiece. Marie Noon had two saves in goal for the Lions.

In the Inter-Ac League EPISCOPAL ACADEMY 5, SPRINGSIDE CHESTNUT HILL 0» Gianna Pantaleo collected two goals and one assist to power the Churchwome­n.

Maddie Rehak added one goal and one assist, while Olivia Tuma and Alex Peyton had the other goals for EA. Bridge Boyle and Caroline Kelly split time in goal and did not have to make a save.

Boys Soccer

Cole Keruzberge­r had a huge game as Episcopal Academy downed Penn Charter, 4-1, in Inter-Ac League boys soccer action Friday.

Kreuzberge­r scored the first two goal and had the assist on Nate Hunter’s goal. Sam Wilson also scored for the Churchmen (18-2-1 overall, 4-2-1 InterAc). Goalie Trevor Manion made five saves to get the win. SPRINGSIDE CHESTNUT HILL 1, HAVERFORD SCHOOL 0 » A goal in the 44th minute doomed the Fords (6-8-1, 2-5-1). Bobby Stratts went the distance in goal. He had no saves.

Girls Soccer

Hannah Moriarty stood tall in goal to lead Episcopal Academy to a 1-0 Inter-Ac League victory over Springside Chestnut Hill.

Moriarity made 10 saves to post the shutout. Nina Salvucci converted a pass from Brooke Kelly off a corner in the 49th minute for the only goal of the game.
