Constance Lamond, 70 of Norwood passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 29, 2017. She was raised in Sharon Hill and attended Archbishop Prendergas­t High School. She continued to live in Sharon Hill where she raised her family before moving to Norwood in 2003.

Connie worked for many businesses over the years including Slim Jim, State Farm, M. Paul Payne Oil Company, Belmont Doors, Russell J. Meyers Roofing Company as well as a lunch lady at Academy Park while her girls were in school. She would eventually work as the office clerk at Sharon Hill Borough Hall for 15 years before retiring.

Connie spent her childhood playing sports like basketball for CYO while summers were spent at Sharon Hill Swim Club where she was a member of the Swim team. As an adult Connie enjoyed bowling with her girlfriend­s at the old Sharon Hill Lanes where many laughs were had. She was avid Philadelph­ia Sports Fan, it didn’t matter the team or if they were not having a great season she still supported the Eagles, Flyers, Sixers and Phillies. As Connie’s girls got older she volunteere­d her time to every organizati­on they were involved with, Sharon Hill Home and School, Ramblers, Sharon Hill AA, Sharon Hill Swim Team, Lady Knights, and District Musical-TOPS. Connie also volunteere­d her time to the Sharon Hill 4th of July committee and was a Life time member of the Sharon Hill Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary.

Her main love was that of family and friends. She hosted many parties at “819” whether it be for a family celebratio­n or just the place for her Girl’s friends to hangout she welcomed all. She found great joy spending time with her grandchild­ren playing games, spoiling them with treats or just being in their presence was good enough for her.

She is preceded by her husband of 47 years, Wayne T. Lamond and her parents William and Edith (Jarrett) Meyers. Her siblings Maryann Kissane (Meyers), Robert Meyers. Her brother inlaw Bill Kissane and sister inlaw Fran Meyers (Magann)

She is survived by her daughters Kim LamondBurk­hart (Mark), Tracy Mormando (Sam), Amy Hartfuss (RJ). Her grandchild­ren Vincent and Nicholas Mormando, Rocco and Addison Hartfuss and Kimberly Burkhart as well as her step grandchild­ren, Lindsay, Mark and Dan Burkhart. Her siblings Edith Orr (Ed), William Meyers, Russell Meyers (Cecelia) and close family friend Robert May as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday evening from 6-9pm at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home 301 Chester Pike Norwood and Friday from 9:15 -10:15am, followed by her funeral mass at 11:00am in the Church of Saint Gabriel 233 Mohawk Ave. Norwood. Burial: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to a Childhood Cancer foundation of your choice or treat yourself to a dinner out with your family in her memory.
