GREAT THANKS

I’d like to thank Celeste, the woman who paid for my order at Walmart last week. That was very kind of you. As a Marine Corps veteran from Vietnam, I’d like to say thank you, that it was very much appreciated, and “Semper Fi.” Thank you again and I will pay it forward. SEMPER FI

ELECTION IDEA

In light of everything going on last week, I think once all the candidates are declared in the presidential primaries, they should have to go through a Scared Straight program.

BAD WATER

If they sell Chester Water Authority I’m giving up and moving to Montana or something. There goes the last drinkable tap water and the last functional piece of bureaucracy in the entire Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Is it really necessary to destroy everything that made Chester and Delaware County great?

BAD SENTENCE

So Bowe Bergdahl goes free with a dishonorable discharge and demotion to private. I’m not saying to go back to the days of firing squads for every deserter, but no prison time at all? Have we abdicated all sense of responsibility in this country? CONCERNED CITIZEN

NO PRANK

Was anyone else expecting some prank to be part of the JFK documents release, like a fake note from Arlen Specter written in crayon saying how stupid people are and that we got fleeced but no more details than that?

OPEN DOORS

I was listening to the news and I hear that the Democrats are skeptical, very skeptical about the tax reform bill going through Congress right now. They said they hesitate over any kind of a bill that gets created and pushed behind closed doors. Did they happen to forget about Obamacare, when Nancy Polo came out and said “we have to pass it to find out what’s in it?” I mean, how closed doors can you get?

BAD BUSINESS

Yeah, the owner of Papa John’s Pizza has the nerve to say that his profits are down now because of politics, basically. This is the guy who, after Obamacare was passed, said thousands of his employees would no longer work over 40 hours to cut down on their benefits.

WHITEFISH TROUBLE

The Whitefish Energy fiasco shows that Trump’s cabinet is not only corrupt, but not very bright. Did Ryan Zinke really think that no one would notice that he gave a $300 million contract to a company in his hometown with two employees? It’s ridiculous.

JOB KILLER

“There Goes Jobs” is absolutely right about Walmart using robots – it’s sick. This is almost as bad as when those greedy Republicans put hard working bell ringers out of jobs by funneling corporate welfare subsidies to their big rich corporate cronies to make those alarm clocks in their new-fangled factories. Those bell ringers were real Americans – they went door to door in all weather, and they knew just how loud every customer wanted the bell rung. Then you had those lazy factory workers sitting around on assembly lines making those high tech junk mechanical alarm clocks. “Factories,” “manufacturing,” they call it they want, but I call it putting real workers out of a job.

BAD POLITICS

I’m assuming that “More On Obamas” was being sarcastic, but sadly that’s exactly how the regressive left thinks. Do you think about why there wasn’t more investigation into allegations of fraud in the 1960 election, JFK using the IRS to go after people or LBJ tapping Goldwater’s campaign offices? By the way, does that last one sound familiar, Nixon haters? As long as it’s in the name of helping “the common people,” the ends justify the means for Democratic politicians. So yes, I’m sure a lot of people saw no problem with the Obama IRS going after tea party groups.

LEGIT COMPLAINTS

If people think Trump is so deranged and incompetent, he should just start having some deranged Roman emperor-style fun. Maybe appoint one of his yachts to some high level
