The evaluation included student interviews, staff interviews, reviewing student/staff files, touring campus, reviewing organizational documents, and the school’s compliance in approximately 1,900 CARF standards.

The mission of CARF is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of persons served. It does this by establishing standards of quality for organizations to use as guidelines in developing and offering their programs or services to consumers.

“This achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improve the quality of the lives of the persons served,” said Brian J. Boon, president and CEO of CARF International. “Your organization should take pride in achieving accreditation.”

Executive Director of The Glen Mills School Randy Ireson, called the accreditation a “proud day for the Glen Mills Schools to receive accreditation by CARF International, which is guided by internationally recognized service standards and best practices.”

“This is a public statement

that the Glen Mills Schools strives to ensure that our services are of the highest possible quality and has made a specific commitment to put the needs of our students at the center of everything we do,” said Ireson. “It also demonstrates the Glen Mills Schools has opened our service delivery and business processes to outside scrutiny in order to improve the quality of our programs and ensure that our services are of the highest possible quality for the young people that we serve.”

This national accreditation will make Glen Mills an even more reputable program.
