Eligible households can reduce home hazards with CAADC program
Community Action Agency of Delaware County Inc. (CAADC) operates the Safe and Healthy Homes Program in Delaware County. The program strives to reduce illness and injury incurred by home health hazards such as lead, asthma triggers, and fire and fall hazards. The main activity of this program is to provide free primary prevention home visiting services to reduce the risks associated with unhealthy homes.
Participating households receive: In-home environment assessment conducted by a trained professional; in-depth healthy homes education; and healthy home supplies as needed such as household cleaning goods, childproofing kits, pest control traps/baits, etc.
To be eligible the households must have an expecting mother and/or a child/ family member under 22 years of age. In addition, the household must have one of the following: either a member that has asthma, a child at-risk for lead-poisoning (i.e. living in a pre-1978 household with chipping or peeling paint), other safety hazards or a child with special healthcare needs.

New production at PCS
SPRINGFIELD » Players Club of Swarthmore presents an American classic, “The Member of the Wedding,” for 10 performances from March 16-31 on the PCS Main Stage at 614 Fairview Ave., Swarthmore. George Mulford directs the play by Carson McCullers (“The Heart is a Lonely Hunter,” “Reflections in a Golden Eye”).
“The Member of the Wedding” tells the story of Frankie (Emi Branes-Huff of Wallingford), a 12-yearold tomboy coming of age in a small southern town in August 1945. She is a troubled adolescent who dreams of escaping her seemingly hopeless environment. Frankie is befriended by her loving confidante housekeeper Berenice (LeAnne J. Mangano of Claymont, Del.) and younger cousin John Henry (Jackson Strine of Media). A story with timeless relevance, “The Member of the Wedding” is a mid-century look at attitudes on racial and sexual identity.
Rounding out the cast are Mark Ivan Branche of Philadelphia; Owen Burk, Swarthmore; Madalyn DeFelice, West Chester; Oliver Feaster, Glenolden; David E. Griffith, Boothwyn; Nolan Maher, Philadelphia; Ann Ramsey, Swarthmore; Kayla Strine, Media; and Carrise Mangano, Chester.
Thursday performances are at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. Audiences can meet the artists in a talkback discussion after the March 25 performance.

Musicals at Radnor schools
RADNOR » The Radnor Township School District announces its 2018 lineup for the school musical season, when Radnor High School presents “All Shook Up” through March 10 and Radnor Elementary School presents “Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” from March 15-17.
Radnor High School present the rocking musical comedy “All Shook Up,” featuring the music of Elvis Presley, from March 8-10 in the RHS auditorium, 130 King of Prussia Road, Radnor. Performances are at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10. “All Shook Up” is a 2005 jukebox musical based on William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.” It takes place in 1955, somewhere in middle America, where one girl’s dream and a surprise visit from a mysterious leather-jacketed, guitar-playing roustabout help a small town to discover the magic of romance and the power of rock and roll. The musical’s live band is made up of students in the school’s honors jazz band.

Radnor Elementary School presents “Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” at Radnor Elementary School from March 15-17. A cast and crew of 110 fourthand fifth-grade students at welcome the Radnor community to enjoy a tale as old as time in the RES Little Theatre, 20 Matsonford Road, Radnor. There is an
evening performance each night at 7:30 and a matinee on Saturday at 1.
Based on the original Broadway production and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” is an adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance. It features some of the most popular songs written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Menken and Tim Rice.
The production is sponsored by the school’s parentteacher organization. Admission to all shows is free. Donations are accepted.

Leanne KruegerBraneky, D-161 of Swarthmore, holds events in March to help constituents discover any unclaimed property the state might hold, as well as connect veterans with needed benefits. Both events are held at Krueger-Braneky’s district office, 701 E. MacDade Blvd., Folsom.
The unclaimed property search is set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March 14-15. The state Treasurer’s Office has $3.2 billion in unclaimed property that it wants to return to the rightful owners. Unclaimed property can include closed bank accounts, uncashed checks, lost stocks or bonds and more. Constituents should bring their driver’s license or appropriate identification to this event, and staff can help them determine if the state has unclaimed property that belongs to them.
The Pa. Mobile Veterans Outreach Van visit the district office 10 a.m.-2 p.m. March 15. The van is on site to help accredited veterans and their family members connect with needed benefits, such as disability, health care, pension, education, career assistance and more.

Grad school fair at Neumann
ASTON » Neumann University holds a graduate fair from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. March 15 in the Bruder Life Center, welcoming 10 colleges to share information about their post-baccalaureate programs. The event is free and opened to the public.
Colleges in attendance include: Alabama A&M University, Bowie State University, Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, Delaware Law School of Widener University, Kutztown University, Moore College of Design, Neumann University, Penn State – Great Valley, Penn State – Harrisburg, and Shippensburg University.
“The Graduate Fair provides an opportunity for anyone in the region to learn about dozens of graduate programs at a single event,” said Erika Davis, director of Adult and Graduate Programs at Neumann University. “It’s a free event that we’re offering to people of any age who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree or certificate.”
The schools represented offer a broad array of graduate degrees from data analytics, education, and biology to pastoral clinical mental health counseling, communications, and master of business administration.
